A romantic dinner for a special evening, with a nice atmosphere. We visit Hood River area often but had not tried this restaurant and we were celebrating our anniversary. We started off with the clams, caprese, and arugula salad. Our main courses were the salmon and the pappardelle with sugo. We finished with cheesecake and the Elise DeChannes. Everything was presented well, the service was divine, and we took our time to enjoy everything. Very professional. Will definitely return.
Had a wonderful meal at Celilo. Just a simple beer and hamburger after a long day hiking. My top priority when choosing a restaurant is one that serves organic food or has a heavy farm to table influence. Locally sourced food from Farmers that care always tastes better. As you can tell by other reviews for Solo, the food is unquestionably very well prepared. In my case, it was no different. They have a few equals in Hood River when it comes to locally sourced food prepared to an elevated level.
Amazing restaurant in hood river city! We got semolina fried oysters. Super fresh oysters with crispy semolina coating. For entrées, we got the smoked Salmon Ravioli and Pork Osso Bucco. All the ingredients used in the smoked salmon Ravioli were just perfect! Pork Osso Bucco was delicious as well! The tender pork and cauliflower grits tasted really good! Perfect restaurant for date nights ♥️
This is one of the best restaurants in The Columbia Gorge and one of our favorites. We came here to celebrate a birthday last Friday. Joshua was our server; he was very knowledgeable about the food and wine and made excellent recommendations on both. We had the house special mushroom ravioli, the chicken, this New York strip steak and the house special pork chop. We also had the curry soup, steamed clams, dips and spreads and house salad. Everything was marvelous and perfectly prepared. Overall it was a 10 star experience.
Great elevated dining experience in Hood River! Service was amazing and we had a lovely time celebrating a bachelorette party! The duck was so flavorful and juicy, all the veggies were fresh and crisp. Great options for anyone, and very accommodating to dietary restrictions. Our food did take a very very long time to come out, but it was a Saturday night so I wasn’t expecting the speediest service.
Top notch, one of the best Hood River Restaurants offering locally sourced FRESH gourmet ingredients. Salmon, streak, appetizers, desserts - ALL were 100% solid winners, well prepared and seasoned perfectly, they know what they are doing. Service is excellent snd staff are not only helpful but also take time to guide you through the menu, excellent experience, will return! Highly recommended.
Another splendid meal at Celilo last night, which features local Gorge growers and producers and homemade pasta. Such an incredible, professional staff. My bride started with the Gazpacho, which was so fresh like drinking fresh tomatoes. I went for the always great Steak Frites, though was jealous of her Pesto Chitarra pasta, which I almost did not give back. One of our favorite spots in Oregon.
We did not have a reservation but just so happened to walk in right at 5 when they opened and offered us the bar or the tables next to the bar, since there were 4 us they put two of the tables together for us. Rachel was our server and she right off the bat was amazing helping us with wine pairings since we kind of knew we wanted the steak….Rachel was just the cherry on top of our great meal here. She was patient and so pleasant with us. Come for the food and definitely wanted to stay for the service.
Celilo Catering catered my wedding at The Orchard Hood River. And it was INCREDIBLE! Celilo provides not just dinner for your wedding, but an experience. You can smell the food being cooked in the open kitchen, you can see the garden where it came from, and when it's time to eat, family style dining created the feeling of an intimate dinner party with all your people. And, of course, it was all delicious! Our guests LOVED it. The catering staff was wonderful, as well. They were friendly, accessible and anticipated needs seamlessly. They truly made all our guests feel taken care of and made the day feel easy for us.
What a special surprise to find this little gem open and thriving on a Wednesday night in downtown Hood River Appetizers were Bread /Sesame Crackers Olives/Nuts Especially loved the olives 🫒 All 3 of us ordered the New York strip steak With Red Wine reduction and Bernaise sauce , Golden potatoes and asparagus Delish!!!! I highly recommend you make reservations Like I said it was very busy Maybe even a little noisy Our server was fantastic Drinks and food all served promptly Love the the food is all locally sourced Definitely a 5!!!
